Srila Prabhupada is living in his books!!

Dear Gustavo

Hello, Hare Krishna! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Thanks for visiting the Sudarsana page and the nice comments. I've been
travelling for the last 6 months or so and have done almost nothing on the web
in that time but if it's Krishna's desire I may be able to stay in one place
for a month or two and do some work on it.

I am not the same Madhudvisa Hridayananda Maharaja knows, I am "Madhudvisa
Jnr." I have some problems with my relationship with ISKCON and you may like to
read: "ISKCON -- Sometimes I'm in it and Sometimes they Throw Me Out..." at
</sudarsana/archive/mail/msg00088.html>

There are thousands of devotees who have been rejected by ISKCON since Srila
Prabhupada left our physical presence in 1977. We are not welcome any more
unless one is prepared to surrender to a conditioned soul and worship him as
non-different from Krishna. Last month Sivarama Swami, the GBC for England told
me if I don't give up my "imaginary" relationship with Srila Prabhupada there
will never be a place for me in ISKCON... They say that one cannot have a
direct relationship with Srila Prabhupada now as he is dead... But Prabhupada
is not at all dead... He is VERY alive in his books, in his classes, in his
morning walks, in his letters... We just have to read his books, listen to his
classes, go with him on his morning walks, read his letters...

Prabhupada is living in his books. Srila Prabhupada's books and Srila
Prabhupada are identical. Srila Prabhupada is 100% present in his books.
Prabhupada's books have just as much potency as Srila Prabhupada "in person"...
Although ISKCON cannot argue with any of these statements, they are Srila
Prabhupada's instructions, still they will not accept Srila Prabhupada is
living still in sound... They will not accept Prabhupada's books contain all
his potencies in full... So that is the mood of the ISKCON "leaders"... Anyhow
there are so many web sites talking about this and the resulting debauchery
ISKCON has been involved in as a result of the "leaders" trying to usurp Srila
Prabhupada's position. I know you have seen them, everything they say is,
unfortunately, true, but we have to talk about Krishna, repeat Srila
Prabhupada's message to the fallen conditioned souls. That is our
responsibility, our duty to Srila Prabhupada, our real business. All these
political problems are just temporary distractions from our real business:
chanting Hare Krishna, dancing and feasting... and reading Srila Prabhupada's
books... and telling others about the glories of Krishna and Srila
Prabhupada... DISTRIBUTING SRILA PRABHUPADA'S BOOKS... giving the people the
only medicine that will counteract the poisonous atmosphere of this age,
Kali-yuga...

I have corrected the typo you have mentioned, thank you very much for bring it
to my attention.

As for having a lot of free time that is not so good. We have to fill up all
our time, 24 hours a day, with Krishna conscious activities. We should have not
a second of free time. Srila Prabhupada often said one second wasted can never
be recovered, not even if we pay 1,000,000 dollars... At least we have to chant
16 rounds of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra and follow the four regulative
principles (no illicit sex, no intoxication, no meat eating, no gambling) and
read Srila Prabhupada's books, otherwise where is the Krishna consciousness...
In your case if you have spare time you can read Srila Prabhupada's other
books, you can listen to his lecture tapes, you can chant more rounds... You
can also get Srila Prabhupada's books on computer now and that is another way
to read Srila Prabhupada's books.

We have to be Krishna conscious in whatever situation we find ourselves.
Krishna consciousness is so nice it can be performed anywhere. I heard Srila
Prabhupada say "What other system of yoga can you perform while walking down
the street?" And it's true. We can just take our beads and chant:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

anywhere, anytime... It is so nice...

We can preach in our own family, in our own business, to our friends, etc. Cook
nice food, offer it to Srila Prabhupada and Krishna and distribute prasadam...
Chant Hare Krishna every morning and evening with the family, read something
from the Bhagavad-gita or Srimad-Bhagavatam and discuss it with the other
members of the family...

As for BTP (Back to Prabhupada Magazine) </btp/> I don't
have any direct involvement with it, it is done by a devotee in England called
Krishnakant Desai, you can email him at prabhupada@krishna.org. I know
Krihsnakant and think his BTP is very nice, but I have nothing to do with his
publication or website. I did go to their Srila Prabhupada Vyasa-Puja ceremony
in England this year and it was a very nice program.

Looking forward to hearing from you again. Chant Hare Krishna and be happy!!
